OK, so I thought I would step up to the plate for someone else having a family crisis, and I get kicked in the teeth.
Sometimes volunteering for a volunteer organization is not worth the cost to my pride, my sanity and my repeated attempts at some kind of connection to people.
It's not worth it to me after 3 years of doing it. Screw 'em.
